The Story: I had the opportunity a few months ago to take my daughter to the New England Aquarium. Of course, I couldn't go without my camera. African penguins are one of the three penguin species there. I decided the exhibit setting they were in just wouldn't cut it in my drawing, so I put them out on a rocky South African shore. This drawing was exhibited in the 8th Annual Wildlife Juried Art Competition at The Jaycee Center for the Arts in Irving, Texas, in October, 2009.

A Pair of Penguins is framed with an off-white acid-free mat with a black core and concave soft black and white wooden frame. The glass is non-glare and UV-protected, and a wire for hanging is installed.
