The Story: The green sea turtle inhabits many of the world's oceans, but is still an endangered species. My sister took the photo I used for reference in Oahu. This turtle was the first reptile I ever drew in charcoal, and I was surprised how easy the skin was. He was featured in an exhibit at the Los Alamos Art Center at Fuller Lodge in August, 2008.
