The Story: White lions are a color variation of lions just as white tigers are a color variation of tigers; they are not a different species. An artist I know online provided me with two photos of these big cats taken by her photographer Mike Dulaney from the Cincinnati Zoo. When I received the photos, I knew the best medium for the drawing would be wood. The wood I used is a 14"x11" oval basswood plaque. It does not need a frame and includes a hanging wire.
