About shopping on this site:
Is this site secure?
Yes, shopping and online payments are secure. All purchases direct from me are controlled by PayPal. You do not need to sign up with PayPal to make a purchase. Orders placed through the Fine Art America printing service are processed by them on their secure site. Note to international customers: because of the increase in scams from abroad, any amount that is paid beyond the cost of the item you purchased will not be refunded.
What is giclee?
Fine Art America uses giclee for non-canvas prints. Giclee is a printing process that gives outstanding color and vibrant results. I did a test run on one of my pieces, and it was indistinguishable from the original.
Do you offer limited editions?
Yes, I currently have limited editions for only a few of my drawings. Editions are of 25, printed on high-quality paper, and are signed and numbered.
Can I pay other than online?
I accept checks and money orders. At this time I cannot take credit cards other than through PayPal.
What if I need to return an item?
Original and commissioned work are non-returnable unless the item arrived damaged. Contact me by email or phone and we will set up either a refund or a replacement. Prints must be returned to Fine Art America via their return procedure.

How can I pay for a commission?
I require a 40% non-refundable deposit to begin work. The remainder is due upon receipt of the work. I accept checks, money orders and PayPal.
What do you need from me?
For all portraits, I will need at least one (preferrably more) high-quality photo, either emailed to me or sent via postal mail. Good photos have the following qualities:
- good lighting, but not washed out
- in focus
- taken from the animal's level (i.e. not looking down on them from above)
- the animal is easily distinguished from the background
- shows the animal's personality well
