The charcoal glides across the paper, smoothly, deliberatly. Every curve, every highlight, every detail is preserved. Drawing is a process - marking, blending, lifting, smoothing, marking again - until the eyes come alive and the animal breathes as if it stands before me. It is more than a drawing, it is a glimpse into the animal's soul.
